Game of the Month for August
Matt Morabito finds himself on the short end of this month's game. He seems to have Lon's number of late, based on the last three or four encounters. "Matt seems to always be playing the White pieces." is Lon's usual lament, but in this quick tournament, Lon managed to out tactic Matt, even with the Black pieces.
This game was played in the final round of the July G/30 Mini-Swiss, and Lon had to win in order to get a share of the second place prize money. For a quick game, Fritz 12 shows there were lots of tactics available...but as usual, time as the balancing factor in this equation!
